Dear Friends,

The Post Natyam Collective enters August after an intensive visioning session together in Los Angeles. We are creating new structures to support each other and collaborate across distance, and have strengthened our commitment to creating a wider global community around contemporary South Asian aesthetics. Stay tuned for more as we launch our new website in the coming months!

In addition, August is filled with performances and creative work by Post Natyam Collective members. Sandra has two upcoming performances in Germany. On August 7, she will perform in Munich with Roman Chowdhury and band, along with vocalist Sharon Zachariah and MC Sola Plexus; on August 23 -24, she will perform in Berlin with her colleagues Arianne Hoffmann, Kristin Smiarowski, Sri Susilowati and Kingsley Irons from Los Angeles. Sandra will also perform in Delhi, India as part of "A Different Beat" on August 12, while Cynthia will perform her solo, fish hook tongue, on August 15-16 at Highways Performance Space in Los Angeles. Shyamala's interview with Marla Gibbs for the LA Women's Theater Festival's "On the Air!" will be shown on Time Warner Public Access TV in the LA area on August 17, 24, and 31 at 1pm. Anjali and her students take part in the Ethnic Enrichment Festival on August 16 in Kansas City.

We wish you a wonderful and art-filled end to your summer!
